Xiamen AEC (英语角 英语俱乐部）Advanced English Club

1. About us:

1) Founded in 2009 by Mr. Henry Ke, AEC is short for "Advanced English Club". Henry had his idea of founding an English Club where members have relatively good English esp. their ORAL English. The reason is because he insists that people can only benefit the best when they're at similar level and improve faster. However, as a new comer you are always welcome to visit us on every Friday night and to see is AEC the right place for you. If not, we might also suggest you some other places where you can find people who love English.

2) AEC is non-profit but as we use the place and facilities of Sima Cafe and they charge 12RMB/Time while offering tea, coffee and facilities we need in return, however, if you've ordered sth. which is more than 12RMB you will only need to pay what you've ordered. For example, let's say you order fries which is 15RMB, then you only need to pay 15RMB and can enjoy the coffee or tea Sima provides at the same time.

AEC不收取任何费用, 但是由于我们使用星马咖啡的场地, 所以咖啡店在中途会向每位收取12元(当晚主持人除外)并且提供咖啡和茶(无限续杯), 以及麦克风, 投影仪等主持人需要的设备.

但是, 如果你自己当晚已在星马消费超过了12元, 那么中途无需支付任何其他费用.

3) AEC is run by a team. We have founder, chairman, promotional manager, photographer, supervisor etc. Keeping AEC running is not an easy job, esp. keep it running in a stable and good way. So we always need enthusiasm and new bloods. 4) Different hosts on different Fridays. Topics we discuss, games we play or mission we get are all from hosts themselves. Our hosts are always trying their best to prepare and give all us of an unforgettable night. Check our Sina Blog (see bottom) for more info. regarding to agendas, photos, videos etc.

1) Passion and perseverance

2) Good spoken English, able to communicate with native speakers on a daily basis

3) Be willing to share, improve and communicate with people around
